The Emotional Toll of Postponing Your Wedding

If you have had to postpone your wedding due to COVID-19, first let us start off by saying how sorry we are. We know how much this day meant to you. We know how intense and emotional the planning process has been. We know how much of a financial toll this is going to take. But most importantly what we want to communicate right now is that it is ok for you to grieve your personal loss. This does not make you selfish or a bad person. Something extraordinary has happened that took something important away from you. It is ok to feel personally victimized by this. So feel what you need to feel. Grieve, be angry, cry. Whatever you are feeling is valid and important and deserves to be acknowledged.

In the coming days and weeks we’ll be posting tips for how to logistically manage postponing your wedding but for now we just want to leave it with this.

We see you. We hear you. And we feel for you. We are in this together.
